oldnews Posted June 22, 2012 Share Posted June 22, 2012 If there is, as sources are saying, another team in addition to Toronto, Florida (Columbus and Chicago?) interested (Winnipeg or whomever?) then it makes sense to light a fire and make teams take a position instead of wasting time - get the real offers on the table now, or miss out - it preempts what Toronto was trying to do yesterday, which is posture and play games - and gives the Canucks a clear picture at the draft, allows them time to sign Schneider, and prepare for the free agency period.
