Get real canuck fans
The Coyotes without their leading scorer(Whitney) by 15 points is going to struggle. They are 12 million under the cap as of now and if they sign Doan at 6 mill they are still 6 short of the floor. If the owner took that long to come up with the 20 mill he was short, it seems obvious that the chances of him adding 20 mill in salaries to get near the ceiling is none. If they sign Doan they will have 22 players signed and be 6 mill under the cap floor. If Doan wants to win picking the Coyotes certainly will not give him the best chance if for no other reason is the owner wont spend close to the cap. Neufy161
What happens to the rest of the roster if the sale does not happen? Does the NHL continue to operate the Coyotes in Phoenix next season or do they move them ASAP and find a suitable owner interested in a new location? Or does the team simply fold and they disperse the players? How does that work? Like the draft? MAN I would be pissed if the Oilers get OEL. crazyforhockey
Longer this goes gotta imagine he's signing with Phoenix. Even if it's a one year deal. It's too late to move Phoenix to a different city this year.
arsenalian
I would assume the NHL would continue to own the franchise until they found a buyer in a suitable area the NHL's willing to relocate to
djsandwiches
I'm assuming locations Bettman is willing to move them to are the hot hockey markets, of Albuquerque or New Orleans maybe?
GHL
lol...I believe those are indeed his next "ideal" hockey hotbeds along with anything in Mississippi or the US midwest. We may see hockey in Kentucky real soon too...lol.
