can't believe you monkeys are comparing it to the Roy thing, rofl

name calling won't get you anywhere

also what Roy did is on par with what Torts did pushing the glass towards the opposing coach what happens if that glass falls on Bruce hmm

Torts goes down the visitors hallway to argue with the other coach he isn't trying to fight him or push something on top of him

Hartley deserves a fine also.

There is a precedent already from this season, a fine for "player selection and team conduct" to the Sabres Coach in the

Scott/ Kessel melee.

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Buffalo Sabres coach Ron Rolston has been fined by the NHL for his role in Sunday's brawl with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The NHL said Rolston was fined for "player selection and team conduct" after putting six-foot-eight enforcer John Scott on the ice after a fight between Toronto's Jamie Devane and Buffalo's Corey Tropp. In its news release announcing the fine, the league said Scott "initiated an altercation" with Leafs forward Phil Kessel.

Oh and By the way, Hartley will NOT get fined!

These antics are gonna get tired quick.

Watch the nhl throw the book at him and Calgary (under Burke) gets nothing. Refs increase their penalty parade against us even more

The Canucks have been pushed around in their own barn for too long. Calgary tried to intimidate them with that BS move last night but the Nucks finally had enough of this crap. About time that they make teams pay the price.

Why not? Its similar, though certainly not the same. Comparisons don't have to be of identical things.

The differences are that (a) Roy didn't intend on the glass tipping over ( b ) the incident happened on-ice.

The similarities are that (a) Roy did something stupid ( b ) he put people at risk of injury.

Good. Give the NHL bigwigs the business too. Hartley and the waste of skin team he leads got what they asked for. I don t blame him for being angry and goin at them in the halls. Hartley, of course, hid behind his players like a coward. My only hope is that Torts doesn t fold to league pressure. It seems no one in the league respects the Canucks organization. Too far out of the way to give a sh*t about I guess. As I see it, if the league won t offer it, it s up to the team to go out and demand it.

Anybody watch during the intermission? Kevin Weekes said that Torts had a longer leash in NY because they are an original 6 team but now that he's in Vancouver the leash will be shorter. Elliotte Friedman called him on it right away and Weekes backtracked immediately. Is Friedman the only intelligent person on CBC?
