Red Sox beat the Orioles 8-1 in 7 inning rain shorten game. You kinda think that the Orioles got ripped off here, especially seeing what the Blue Jays did to the Yankees coming back from 6-0 after a rain delay and the Orioles themselves came back from a 7-1 deficit against the Giants. Boston and Baltimore play each other again in Sept, so you would think that MLB should make-up and finish the rest of that game given how tight the standings are.

After 5 innings the game if official. Rain Delay in the Jays game happened before the end of the 5th, therefore they had to get the game in or it would be rescheduled. Same can't be said for the Sox game.

No the Jays game would've been official since the Jays had their 5 at bats. I believe.

2009 begs to differ.

He hit .250 in the World Series with more K's than hits. For how much he is making he should be performing a hell of a lot better than that in the most important playoff series of his life.

He still had 6 RBI's in 6 games and slashed 250/423/550 for an OPS of 973- not bad. It definitely wasn't as great as what he'd done in the ALDS/ALCS but it's not terrible and he was the playoff MVP nonetheless.

Blue Jays president and CEO Mark Shapiro recently told a radio audience that Rogers executives have assured him that they want to keep this competitive window open as long as possible and that they are ready to spend what it takes to make it so.

Good news for Blue Jays fans! We will have a real payroll next season.

I hope they realize we need about 160-170 million in payroll to do that. So I'd say we need EE @20-22million/year. Let Bats walk. Get some relief help. We should be in the mix again next year.
