#NHL #Canucks Frank Corrado (healthy scratch) is out for Saturday's game vs San Jose.

I would imagine Corrado would slot in for Weber next game.

Thanks. It's good to have this information.

Tanev practising Sunday raises the possibility he might play in place of Weber. It's even possible both Tanev and Corrado could play.

Tanev is playing tonight, as per Canucks Twitter.

Vancouver Canucks @VanCanucks

Lack said he's excited for Tanev to return, called him "a goalie's best friend." #bromance #Canucks

And in other news...

Vancouver Canucks @VanCanucks

Bonino said he feels good and ready, but he leaves the line-up decisions up to coach. #Canucks

Vancouver Canucks @VanCanucks

Coach doesn't think Weber's injury is long-term; said Bieksa and Richardson are getting closer to returning. #Canucks

Bieksa also spoke to media. Said he's getting closer, "but shot is as hard as that of @FarhanLaljiTSN, so it needs work..." #Canucks

info on the mystery that is the Richardson injury

Checking centre Brad Richardson’s ankle/foot injury has passed the seven-week mark and been one of the great mysteries of the 2014-15 season. He was hit by teammate Chris Tanev’s shot Jan. 16 in Carolina and was thought to be day-to-day. He missed the next two games and then joined the team for a full practice Jan. 26 following the all-star break. The next morning, a game day, he again skated with the team but left halfway through. On Sunday, he re-appeared at the full team practice.

“I thought I was going to be ready to go after the all-star break but that just wasn’t the case,” Richardson said. “It was a combination of things, mostly turning and pivoting. I couldn’t do it. There was pretty bad pain. It’s frustrating because there was no timetable. It just wasn’t getting any better and you just have to kind of wait it out. It was a real stubborn one. We tried to push it and it just wasn’t working so we had to kind of pull back a bit and rest it. But I don’t think you can say it was a setback. I just think it wasn’t responding.”

Richardson, 30, is not ready to play but indicated he’s not far off either. “It’s getting close,” he said. “Just getting out there (at practice) and not having any issues is a big thing. You’re not going to come back in until you’re ready to go and you feel like you can contribute. There is no room for error. I’m not going to put a date on it but it’s definitely coming.”

Good to see. As much as we all might (rightfully) rag on Bieksa, I think we're better with him in the lineup than out of it... if for no other reason due to his leadership role and passion. Tanev is a no-brainer. Webber is a good filler at least, and while I like Richardson I wonder if there is much room for him in the lineup if Kenins manages to continue his good play. (Reason for being a healthy scratch notwithstanding)
