[PGT] Canucks @ Kings

Think about how many more powerplay goals we'd have if our D could just get the puck through.

The biggest weakness isn't the Sedins passing too much, it's the D shooting it right at the other teams shin pads.

Exactly, makes me wish we still had this cannon back on the point

He could get the puck through.....and didnt make many high risk dumb passes at the point....

Your words are terrible to hear.

Winning hockey is a beautiful thing to watch and it takes on many forms. Canucks were playing the LA Kings for frack sakes. Obviously you don't know sh*t from apples when it comes to hockey.

They beat the Stanley friggen Cup champs in their own barn, in a must win game for both teams, and they get 42 shots.

Somehow that's not enough for you?

Go watch NBA basketball if you need to see lots of points.

10/10

So I've started my tradition early this year in hopes of a positive return.

Back during the '94 run, I had all these different superstitions (not srs, but I did them every game nonetheless). I added a car flag for each playoff win and I put up one new Canuck "decoration" (poster, stick, etc.) as well.

So this year, I'm bringing out the big guns. May I suggest you all do the same.

I know it's not officially playoffs, but we know how that can go. So I'm doing my part (now). To be effective, you must also stand and shout at your TVs throughout the entire game.

For this (huge) game:

I used my Trevor Linden beer cooler (yes I had an afternoon beer, never you mind...some things call for it).

I brought out my pic of my Mom in her skate logo Canucks' jacket.

And I lined mascots up in front of the TV.

I will add things each game throughout the duration of the season. In '94, my living room was plastered and I had a huge Orca logo on my front/bay window. Let's do this, fans. Get it started.

You know when you have Ninja turtles, Spice Girls and Power Rangers on your side, you're bound to win.

My battery was nearly dead and it's a little blurry. But this is what must be done. If you're a hockey lunatic, like me.

Thanks for putting up with me. (Kings didn't even stand a chance).

That's normal practice for any game!

I hate to say it, but Ehrhoff fit in well with this team as well.

Erhoff was excellent. He could rush the puck, had a great first pass out of the zone, tape to tape passes across the rink...he could do it all . The PP doesnt suck because the sedins have changed their style...of course they have lost a step since 2011....it sucks because they do not have a legit top Power Play Qb that can get the puck through or make the lightning quick decisions needed to play the point.

Haha!!!! you guys are hilarious!!!!

I predicted a loss against a team we've lost to like 800 times? Shoot me.

Anyways great to see a win and I'm glad they proved me wrong.

Karlsson you're always unique and a fresh breath of air. Sorry to include you but I know at least you have sports class and would answer like a gentleman.

Go Sens and you!

So your saying they had a good first ok I did say they had a great second and third and even a jerk like you has to admit Hamhuis had a bad game for giveaways.I probably have played more , seen more hockey that you ever will kiddo so go bury your head in the sand somewhere .

Missed the game due to work, and then someone spoiled the score for me -___-

But I just wanted to say...I knew we'd win. I knew it.

Great job boys

I agree. Watching confident team play box against the twins on the PP proves exactly what you just stated. The Kings had a guy off the boards, and one in the slot, just watching them make their passes in the corner. Neither defender committing to anything. A legit point threat would open the 2 of them up more.

edit: I hated to say it because of the 10 year 40 mil contract that had him leave town to go to Buffalo who, apparently, had the best chance to win the Cup (his words).

I'm still fairly new around here, but why is there so much negativity after a win? Let alone against the Stanley Cup champions. Doesn't matter how you get the W, they all count as 2 points.

Very good observation - its why the Kings are so successful shutting down the twins. they have a bunch of big bodies wearing them down on the boards and then they play the box to perfection and watch them cycle the puck during the relatively few situations they do get the puck back.

5 of 5 its almost comical watching 5 black sweaters form a 5 pattern just like you see on dice just blocking everyone and anything from getting within 15 feet of the net.

If they had a point man that could hit the net it would help them immensely...

Nux really miss Salo and erhoff.
