Why do these so-called "analysts" have a raging hard-on for hating Vancouver?

because aside from 13-14 we have spent the last decade plus as the best team in the country, beating every other team consistently and outside of hockey Vancouver had become internationally recognized as Canada's top city. So haters gonna hate

Toronto and torontonians have a real inferiority complex when it comes to Vancouver.  Vancouver and Vancouverites could care less.  Just like the majority of REAL Canuck fans could give 2 $&!#s about what Damien Cox and Botchford have to say about anything....

Virtanen should have never gone to this tourney...Marner is a little primadonna who is going to get destroyed in the NHL, and I doubt that they liked having Jake on team canada, taking some of their shine.

He did. Your not realizing he went on live TV after the OHL finals and went on a rant saying Cassels is a bust saying the only reason he can shut down Mcbust is because he's older and when he goes pro we will see how horrible Cassels is.

Also how can one build Marner up so much even though he was just as bad as Virtanen.

I didn't see any of that. But Cassels is sucking big time so as it stands Cox is right about that too.

Actually as Travis Green predicted, now that he's 100% healthy, his game is picking up significantly.

Dont know if this deserved a thread but hey its better than 90% of the threads on here.

Damien Cox is the biggest Canucks prospect basher in the world. I remember when Cassels shut downed McInjured he went on a huge rant of how Cassels is older and is trying to bully the next Gretzky. Today he goes on twitter rant of how Virtanen lost Canada the game and then praises Marner for being a god.

Here's some hate for just the Canucks by Cox:

Can't stand this idiot.

Who cares about this guy, he is never right, this is the same guy that thought the Lee Stempniak for Alexander Steen and Carlo Coliacavo trade was a steal for the Maple Leafs at the time. I lived in Toronto  before and he was just the basic homer and thought the team would turn it around once the leafs hired Burke.

Cassels missed both of the last two summers unable to train - with mono and then an abdominal injury that he played through for half a season, missed camps and hasn't had the strength or the conditioning to step up to the next level - yet.

Proclaiming a player a bust under those circumstances after an MVP Memorial Cup performance is hasty nonsense (and for a troll like Cox, wishful thinking).

And regardless, calling a 3rd round pick a bust is sheer idiocy in any event - but Cox will be Cox.  The dumbest twit in the industry.

It would be just as easy to project a pair of Leafs smurfs as inevitable busts that will be unable to handle the NHL game with those flyweight frames of theirs... Nylander already concussed.  Marner at a full 160lbs better learn to pass the puck because if he hangs onto it endlessly and telegraphs his intention to shoot only, he'll get drilled repeatedly at the next levels.  Inevitable busts.   See how easy that is?  Years later, who remembers how stupid these kinds of pretentious forecasts were?
