We can be a pretty bi-polar fanbase, but saying he should be the top line center after one game where he wasn't terrible is pretty messed up. Nothing's changed from last season, Vey will be gifted copious amounts of undeserved ice time by WD until management find a way to separate these two jamokes. I counted 4 blatant hooks/trips before the Penguins third goal that were let go even though the NUcks had had 5 penalties to that point. Good ole Vey. And how about WD waiting for 20 seconds left to pull the goalie for a 6v4 PP. With only 3min left in the 3rd, why not pull him at beginning of the PP? Lets fire him. He was a non-factor most of the game. Finished -3, under 50% FO. Malkin was no "beast" either, save for two good shots. Canucks have nothing to be ashamed of. Finished up a long eastern roadtrip with probably their best game. Deserved at least a point from this, and Penguins fortunate to get what they did. As for scapegoats, blaming that goal on Vey is garbage -- mistakes happen, and he played well again today.
