You win playoff series with players like Virtanen. Virtanen had came a long very nicely this year. He is a big kid with both speed and skill. He can skate, he can hit, he can score. He can be a guy who could impact the game without even being on the scoresheet. Think Tom Wilson, but a better more level-headed and skilled version of him. Wilson was a big part of the Caps cup winning team last year, and if you compare both players' stats at the same age, it tells me that Virtanen is currently trending on a better trajectory than Tom Wilson. I've been given free tickets to the game on Dec 4 against the Wild - will be my first live game since 2009 - can't wait, and don't care how dull it is!!
