Actually what Pittsburgh, Chicago, and LA had in common was there was a great deal in place, including a prospect pool, prior to getting their high pick stars. We on the other hand needed to replace everybody on the team other than possibly Edler and Tanev. How did TO turnaround so quick? It wasn't by adding picks as added picks have made no difference to their turnaround at all. Myers 5 years and 6 mill no one else pulled that off And Benn on a 2 year deal. Nobody can argue that JB doesn't have a plan. Quite a few NHL GM's made some gnarly signings in the summer of 2016...Whether you were for the Eriksson signing or not,I dont think anybody saw his play completely falling off a cliff the way it did. Tavares is a broken down player he should retire. If you disagree with this statement please do tell me who should decide what UFAs should and shouldn't be signed.
