So tank, get two stars, win cups. We're set!

You got the first step down.  Few more to go.

Unfortunately, trading your picks away year after year while you still stink wasn't part of the strategy for any of those multi cup winning teams.  We'll see how it works out for us.

Actually what Pittsburgh, Chicago, and LA had in common was there was a great deal in place, including a prospect pool, prior to getting their high pick stars. We on the other hand needed to replace everybody on the team other than possibly Edler and Tanev. How did TO turnaround so quick? It wasn't by adding picks as added picks have made no difference to their turnaround at all. Go ahead - list all those TO "added picks" making an impact for the Leafs.

Is there anyone who is in there sane mind who can disagree with the Myers or benn signing.

Myers 5 years and 6 mill no one else pulled that off

And Benn on a 2 year deal.

Nobody can argue that JB doesn't have a plan.

Benn is clearly here till Hugh's  gets is new contract same goes with Edler.

And Myers we get his  best years 29,30,31,32 33

Did everyone on here get their vote in.

This poll makes me so impressed with the CDC Canuck fan base. Thanks for your vote and here's to hoping the Canucks have a great season, for their great Fan base.

We are all Canucks, even the trolls in their weird and abnormal ways.

Pretty much all CDC posters said the same thing about the Loui E signing.  Shows the actual hockey knowledge most on here  possess.

Quite a few NHL GM's made some gnarly signings in the summer of 2016...Whether you were for the Eriksson signing or not,I dont think anybody saw his play completely falling off a cliff the way it did.

If most of your hockey knowledge is constant negativity,at least you'll be right 50% of the time.

The best strategy for a smart  GM is to not sign UFA's in July.   Usually you overpay and get older broken down players on retirement contracts.....

Are you saying GMs should never sign UFAs and all players that turn UFA should retire. Tavares is a broken down player he should retire. If you disagree with this statement please do tell me who should decide what UFAs should and shouldn't be signed. How about GMs do they know if not maybe you.

Add Ferland, 27, at $3.5 x 4.

Wonder if/how this changes the poll.

Isn't it nice to Know that most of the Canucks fan base on this Forum was right to Support Benning

Well maybe it's time to do a Green poll (again? With all the fire Green talk after each loss you'd think they'd already be one a week or two).
