Graovac to the KHL

Seemed like a decent guy.  Good for him getting a gig in the K.  He’s just at the age now where (being a guy who doesn’t put up points and is easy to play against) he’s too old for a role the AHL.  He’s not an NHL player.  So it’s great he can get paid still to play.

Looks like he's joined Dinamo Minsk, the team Klimovich is currently on a trial contract with and may join next season. If Klimovich does indeed sign with Dinamo Minsk, Graovac would be a good, familiar bar to measure his development against.

Benning: "Tyler, listen, we need a favor. We're going to draft this kid out of Belarus but he already signed a contract in the Q, so if we try to bring him over and he doesn't make team he can't play in Abby. We're going to tell him to sign a 2 year contract on Dinamo Minsk so he can develop in the KHL. We want you to sign a contract over there too. That way you can look out for him and really hype the team and city because we've had mixed results from that league lately. And when both of your contracts are up and he signs here we will sign you back and give you a nice 'Signing Bonus'. Ok?"

Yes, I can confirm that he has signed 1-year contract with Dinamo-Minsk

TG having a decent season with Klim's old team.  He's cracked the KHL top 50 in scoring (44th) with 5 goals and 13 assists in 23 games.

Joining him in the top 50 are a few other ex-Canucks: Granlund, Spooner, Schroeder, Goldobin, Jensen, Leipsic, and, while not technically a Canuck, Curtis Valk, who signed with Utica and played for 2 ssasons there

I remember this one;

Would be interesting to watch a highlight package from fringe NHLers. You could probably compile a lot of really nice goals and saves. Funny that many considered the greatest save ever to come from Sebastien Caron in 2006, a goalie who didn't even play 100 NHL games.
