The kid has been scratched for the majority of the games and is basically a 7th guy. Having him gone for a few weeks does nothing to the Islanders. Would have loved to have Dobson back this year, he would be gunning for revenge after that shot went off his stick last year. Setting that aside it looks like it will be a really good one this year, only thing that makes me really nervous is Canada's goaltending. Hoping one of these guys steps up and surprises me though. Forgot about the Dobson play. Wonder if maybe he took some heat for that (social media warriors) and he decided he's done with the junior play and wants to focus on the next step in his career. Lou Lam might just be protecting his young player in that sense,. It who knows.
Boudrias
I have kinda soured on the WJC. The young kids from Canada are more prone to less team play. The media can hardly let them get off the ice before sticking a mic in their faces and start telling them how good they are. Their all generational talents! Hear that line enough and young kids begin to believe it.

Assuming they want Foote with get the puck and make space for the 2. I hear he has an excellent shot too.

theo5789
So we have a Swede, a Russian, a Finn, and a Czech representative. Unfortunately no Canadian, but I imagine Focht and Woo were close. The good news is no American Canucks, so can full on root for them to be embarrassed.

Herberts Vasiljevs
Credit to the Capitals for drafting McMichael. He's looking like a hell of a prospect and made the team over Newhook. 1

Not much hype yet but he can emerge a star out of this tournament.

He'll be ready to slot in as a top 6 C for Washington around when Backstrom's 35 and needs fewer minutes.
