In fact Leivo and Virtanen could be switched between this line and the Horvat-Pearson line. As the game went on Green went with Leivo Pettersson Boeser Pearson Horvat Virtanen Baertschi Gaudette Miller Baertschi and Gaudette stopped playing with 10 minutes to go. Special teams and they were protecting the lead.

I felt like even with the goal the Pettersson line wasn’t that good and they’re absolutely dominant when Miller is on that line. I like Miller better too but I'll give Leivo credit for stepping up and playing well. Not his fault Green plays him above his ability.
Hairy Kneel
Thanks team, I was worried about a 9 game losing streak. Go Nucks!

Popular Post knucklehead91
That was a pretty decent game. Second period was a bit frantic, but Demko took care of that. 3/3 on the PP. I like how the 2nd unit kept it simple on the PP and capitalized off a shot and a rebound. Despite everyones hate for Newell Browns operations, the PP is clicking at 22% roughly. Top 10 in the league. To me Sutter’s injury looked like a groin issue. It was mid stride and he tested out a few strides. But wasnt going deep in his strides. Good to see our bottom 6 pot a few goals and Petey to continue rolling. Has anyone else been diggin Boeser’s intensity? Far more physically engaged this season, diggin hard and throwing his weight around. 3

Haydnucks
Boeser’s skating looks much improved. I was worried to start the season. Good on his edges. Can be a playmaker also. 1
Popular Post *Buzzsaw*
By the way: For those guys on this board who scoffed at Josi getting the lifetime contract with Nashville... I hope they were watching tonight. He is a dominant D-man... he drives the Preds offense, skating circles around the Canucks all night... he should have had a couple assists at least, but Preds forwards missed some gimmes. 1

I was pretty nervous when it was 6 on 5 with two minutes left to play and every Canuck was literally just standing there letting NSH get in position for the perfect shot. They need to be more aggressive like they were at the beginning of the season and attack the puck carrier. That's coaching. Whomever the D coach is is telling them to play that way, they're not doing it on their own.

From the day he was born, everything kinda becomes about him, and doing everything for him to build a great future for him. I really had to dig deep going to Utica, trying to perform, and I think I handled it really well. I went there and performed right away, played really well and obviously got the call up. My goal as soon as I got called up is that I want to stay here. I know at the end of the day it's a management decision but I can make their job really hard here right now." - Baertschi 2 4

Popular Post xereau
5 goals again, through adversity. One small step backwards for Sutts, one giant leap forward for Gaudette. Demko kept them in the game in the second. This team can do some damage, and they are still just starting to learn. Brock showing some snarl, and some speed too. 4
