Vintage posted Green's pregame quote earlier where he said that it  is tough playing a team you just beat (paraphrasing).

This is what the anti Green group jumps on.  Seriously as the coach you want to give an excuse to your players to start the game?

They get outshot 24 to 7 in the first. (Thanks Demmer).

Canucks give up 36.9 shots per game so far this year.  Worst in the NHL.

Worst in the NHL.

C'mon Green know what you're doing.  A lot of us have been here for 50 years and we can see that you are not doing what a good coach does to prepare his team. When you get that kind of shots against right after you tell everyone it is to be expected. Well that's pretty much self explanatory that you didn't get your guys ready to go. Thanks to Demmer we are in this and hopefully can pull out a win regardless of what Green is doing.

Our team is broken defensively

offensively we are still disjointed

I really hope Benning can trade Edler during the trade deadline if we happen to miss the playoffs. Get some assets for him because I hope for big changes on D this off season.

Every player except Motte should turn his cheque over to Demko and start training for a new profession. The lack of discipline on this team is just stunning. Why Juolevi is out for Chatfield I don’t understand either - Chatfield is playing like he played in Utica tonight, the deeper problem is that so is the rest of the defence. Pettersson seems to have infected the rest of the line with his lethargic play - the problem is that none of the three is mentally active right now. Hard to play hockey when you are in a brain daze. The trainers should be handing out the ammonium carbonate.

Until benning actually assembles a real defense, nothing will change. Who is our best defensive d man? do we even have one? nope

Wonder if the Sens coach can do the earful for us.

His roster changes have outplayed Green's changes.

Sad... but we're not out of this yet.

Well to be fair, Green probably didn't want to make changes after shellacking the Sens 7-1. But I hear ya... Green's probably telling the guys they played a good first period!

Canucks looked like a team who thought this was going to be an easy game. Canucks aren't good enough to think like that at all right now or ever. They are complacent. That playoff means nothing now. So stop thinking about how good you were and realize how terrible you are right now.

Problem is this is an easy game..  OttWa is the worst team by far i  the Canadian division and Canucks are loaded with young guns and just now ramping up their engine. Absolutely they should crush Ottawa - the sentiment can be echoed by many posters here.

I don't get why Green is to blame for the lack of energy from the players. Professionals shouldn't need a 50 year old in a suit to tell them to play hard to suddenly click on that they want to play hard. The lotto line has been awful. Virtanen has been awful. Roussell has been awful. They bring down the energy of everyone else.

Lack of adaptation.
