I hope so JT.

I almost expected him to lose the puck on the halfwall with the net empty.

He does things like that sometimes.still love the guy but he should move to PP2

PP1

Boeser Horvat Petterson

Hughes OEL

PP2

Podz Miller Hogz

Like I said in a previous post, Petey looks just a tad off.  He was missing alot of shots that usually hits the net in the corners.  He was trying a little too much.

Yes, but did you also see how he handled the puck in traffic? Goals will come for him. It's only his second game since March. Don't worry.

Podz that's set up some grade A chances. I feel like he needs a sniper.

I bet he and Boeser would look good together.

Petey uncharacteristically missed his shots on some beautiful feeds by Podz

So, which one moves to the left side?

Ok so we are in agreeance about questioning Chiasson in the lineup tonight.

How about Highmore? What has he done?

How about Dowling? How about Petan?

How about Schenn?

Rathbone would have been a 7D for me but I would have had him in Abbotsford playing big minutes and bring him up every now and then as he is waiver exempt

Honestly all of them are AHL caliber. Benning just didnt have a quality backup for Motte and Sutter while our development team has not generated a player that can PK like Motte or Sutter while being great defensively. I am more concerned about when Motte  Sutter and Hamonic can get back on the team because we really dont have anyone that can replace them. Benning needs to see who is waived before regular season because they need help. Maybe they can poach off Seattle's roster as they seem to have some good players that will hit the waivers. Also Engvall from the leafs is decent if he hits the waiver wire.

I feel like im watching a team with no identity.

and for now you'd be right, and this surprises you?  However, since the turnstile of players has almost ended it will take awhile for the team to settle in and not be so disjointed, I already saw this coming like other posters but so what if it takes awhile, the team has get used to each other and as long as it happens, whatever.. yeah it's been tough waiting but after so many years of it, I'm just glad it's over!

so we have gone through the preseason.

from what we’ve seen can anyone definitively say what the forward lines will be?

I’m guessing Bo and Pearson are together but other than that I can’t tell.

It was a blender of lines dominated mostly by what looked like testing the tweeners.

Where’s Garland going to play? Is Miller going to play with EP?  Having chiasson out there in the last minute and having him strapped to Miller indicates to me they are serious about this guy.

Whose on the third line? Dickinson? Miller?

So what was accomplished? Identifying the guys that we all knew weren’t going to make it?

This infuriates me lol

So true....

He did? He skated back towards his blue line under pressure and lost the puck without even attempting a pass.

Boeser loses the puck on the pp more than any player ive seen.

Miller creates chances and wins those battles.  First PP should be ...

Hogz - Horvat - Petey

OEL - Miller

Let Hughes and Brock play patty cake on the 2nd unit

It seems like we are a team with so many excuses as why it’s ok to lose compared to other clubs. Something new every year. I am hoping it’s just a chemistry problem but we will see on Wednesday. I am really worried about starting on the road the first 6 games. It feels like we haven’t had our first game be at home in a long time. Do the schedule makers hate us or something?

Nucks fans will start using the excuse that Hughes and Brock missed training camp and part of preseason... always an excuse with these 2.

Good question

Should have tried that pre season while we tried everything else.

I feel like Podz would be ok on the other side.

I dont disagree with you but Green needed to experiment with that during preseason. Now the regular season is critical, so we need a good start. Best is to go with the lines that worked in previous seasons and see how it goes. Its too bad Green wasted an opportunity to perhaps put Podkolzin with Miller and Petersson for a game. These are just the things that should have been done in preseason while allowing the vets to get their timing back and shake off the rust. Also Pettersson and Hughes missed most of training camp and preseason so they will be a bit slow to start until they get back to their old routine.

I think the only excuse that's consistent here is that the staff screwed around with fringe AHL tryouts instead of getting the team ready
