This is good news. I do think Miller has been holding back the first line. He's just not the same as his first year with the Canucks

I agree, although getting a few points he just throws away too many pucks on high risk finesse plays. Being an offensive player giveaways are expected but not at that level and you also need to deliver to balance it out.

Hopefully centering the 3rd line will get him back to a simpler game which might actually make him more effective as well as helping other players on that line and give a better top 9 overall.

I feel that will overwhelm a lot of teams.  I'd love to see Motte with Pods and JT once he is back.  Each of our top 3 lines would have a tenacious little POS to play against.

Vancouver Canucks have the deepest midget depth bar none

Yep, it was a well deserved maintenance day with the minutes he was logging.

Oct. 13 against the Oilers: 27:02.

Oct. 15 against the Flyers: 26:46.

Oct. 16 against the Red Wings: 29:09.

thats crazy, he definitely deserves time off.

I'm hoping for a convincing win....that's needed at this stage to quiet down the naysayers.  Won't be easy.

This isn't an easy gig, this NHL deal.  You don't win all the games all the time.  But I'd love a good win here for this one to build some momentum.

It's been 3 games and we've played okay the at very least, there are naysayers already?

Top D-men play high minutes all over the league. For a guy as young as Hughes that can skate the way he does, it's not really a problem.

You saw him in OT vs the Flyers, he wouldn't get off the ice himself.

He'll be fine. He's getting paid like a horse now, he should be deployed/play like one.

I'm off today so that's what I meant. :P

I work tomorrow.

Me too!   But I'm off at 4:00 (home by 4:09 if I hit all the lights)

Car's in the shop and if he calls me to pick it up after work it'll have to be "around 7:30'ish"
