Also maybe thinking too far ahead of the money situation in a couple years or the possibility of JT Miller walking. Vegas has been trying to solve the Center problem with Jack Eichel but the asking price might not be to their liking. JT Miller Highmore Hunt 2nd round pick Alex Tuch Peyton Krebs Nic Hague or maybe we try to pry local boy Shea Theadore from them for JT Miller plus a pick. He'd be taking the place of someone on the roster, so you can subtract something like Hunt's $800k from that as well. Suddenly we're up to $1.9m. Are you suggesting we couldn't figure out how to clear another $600k? Even if it's just playing as a 22 man roster? Besides, closer to the TDL, wouldn't McNabb's hit be prorated? Perhaps with us being in LTIR complicates that, can't remember and don't feel like applying the neurons to figure it out Either way, clearing $600k is hardly some insurmountable task. Hell, maybe we get Podz some more minutes by double shifting him on the 3rd and 4th lines and playing 22 men until the playoffs. Again, McNabb is EXACTLY the guy we need.
