Yeah, that's awesome. We need Hamonic on the defense. Our defense is so much better for it.

Both of my grandfathers died in WWII so I never had a chance to meet them. There was this *OLD* TV series on it (of course, it being an American show, it tended to exaggerate their role):

Marchand admitted that when he got a "Stanley Cup Champions" tattoo over the summer, the tattoo artist originally misspelled "Champions" (substituting an "a" for the "o"). My clothes have not. Speaking of suits and body sizes, my body is so weird I need custom. I have gone to multi tailors and they all say custom is only possible.

My step father came back from Vietnam all messed up, completely out of control ptsd My 19 year old neighbor across the street too. He robbed the small mom and pop liquor store around the corner. A block away. Sat drinking waiting for the cops to come take him away.

I have short legs, long body and wide frame... You used to be able to take a trip to SE Asia and get 4 custom suits made and have it cover the cost difference between getting a good suit made in Vancouver. But I did that 16 years ago... No the suits dont fit anymore..also shrunk in the closet... Edited November 11, 2021 by Gnarcore

I had a regular customer when I ran a lottery both....he'd served in the war and I knew that during the ceremonies in Richmond he was always heavily celebrated and honoured. He never spoke of what he'd endured....he started to one time, then quickly shut down and the trauma that still lived within him was so apparent. He used to ask me to "guard" his motorized scooter as he went in to the bank without it. He'd been provided it by the VA....I took that request by him very seriously and was honoured that he trusted me. No one dared get near his ride...I/we owed him that. RIP Sandy. I always think of you on this day. 3

I know he did more than his part because the King awarded him an MBE at the end of it, which was quite an honour for a non-commissioned officer. Now sadly it's too late to ask him. 4 1

As I age my respect for them grows more and more. Tonight we will watch a bunch of young men play hockey. They are the same age as those who fought for our future. How many of them would not have come home? 3 1
