McMichael has future top 6 potential and fills our current need at 3c. Getting both McMichael and Lapierre would allow us to shift our draft focus on a defenseman as well. So in the long run, it definitely fills our needs. The guy is what, 20/21 years old? Saying "we don't need to trade Miller for 3rd liners" is a bit of a dig.... considering they are still technically prospects. I don't think we can be THAT picky with our return. Both C so gives us a ton of flexibility. Yesterday we have Miller, tomorrow we could have McMichael, Lapierre, Pickering and Bischel. we could also potentially package 15 and 20 for 5-7 and snag Jiricek.
