Which other player on the team given the opportunity will score 30 in 82 who didn't last year?

I can't wait for this.

He hasnt scored 30.  Not sure why you cant understand that hes not an elite player.  If you want to start paying one dimensional non line drivers that are slow and soft over 7 mil, then you have no idea how a winning team is built.

If there is any indication that boeser thinks he's worth around his QO... it's time to move on 100%. Absolutely cannot have such a 1 dimensional PP specialist guy who waits for the play to develop and capitalize. Sets such a bad example for any other contracts.

6m x 4 max or byeee

Exactly.  These arent the type of players that make you contenders.  You win with complete players that can drive play in your top 6.  Its as if half this board doesnt even watch hockey. If they had, theyd be able to easily see how too contending teams are built.

Is it too late for Boeser to improve his skate, most importantly his speed.

I still think a Boeser with some decent speed and skating would be dangerous for us.

While I don’t think it is too late I also don’t think he’ll get significantly faster either. There is room for improvement if he finds the right skating coach.

I think there is room to improve.

I think he was getting bad advice with his training and coming in too bulked up. Brock being bulked up is not useful to his game as he’s not winning board battles. All it does is take away speed and agility.

He should be playing at 190 and focusing on lean muscle rather than bulk. If he can drop that 15-20 pounds he’ll be able to get to loose pucks quicker and find those soft spots faster where he can get his shots off like he did in his rookie year.

I think if he leaned out 5-10 pounds he could get a bit quicker. Not fast, by any means, but quicker.

He was quicker in his first season from what I could tell. Can’t remember if it was his second or third year he showed up to camp jacked. Lost half a step.

This is why I’m glad Takahashi is gone.

I feel like that guy was giving bad targets to our players and not holding them accountable enough.

I hope the next strength and conditioning coach works closely with the coaches and the GMs to develop real goals for these guys that they can be held too.

Given the same opportunities, top 2 lines, exceptional  pp time ect..

Kuzmenko, and possibly Lamikko.

BB scored 11 of his 23 goals on the pp.

I've started to think this " country club " mentality came from the staff, not necessarily the players considering the massive overhaul.

Leadership starts at the top.

It definitely wasn’t coming from Benning or Weisbrod. Those two had excuses for everything and seemed to spend more time scouting than focusing on strengthening the organization.

I think you’re on to something about it being the staff.

Having people like JR, Johnson, the Sedins, and now Tallon in key roles will hopefully go along way. All hard workers who are accountable.

We'll see in training camp once the cuts happen.  Multiple guys got gifted roster spots they didn't earn last year because Green refused to act like a professional.  The cancer has been removed but there may have been some lingering effects from the devastation that clown inflicted on the franchise.

Hes always been slow.  His pre draft scouting had him listed as a below average skater non line driver.

You actually think Lammikko can replace Brock? Dude?! Hell of a smoke session over at your place lol

Not to that extent. But Boeser is indeed replaceable. Maybe the easiest and best piece to move in order to better the rest of the team.
