Jarry is playing really well, Canucks ae going to actually need production from their stars in this one. I know, what a reach.

Too bad the Canucks couldn't do a do-over with this season. To think a lot of us had them right up there with EDM and VGK before the season began. It's been so disappointing.  I'm ready for a real shake up.  A trade for a bottom pairing C or a depth Dman isn't going to cut it.

Ditto: Green getting outcoached - again.  Just look at Chicago's record ever since there coaching change (as a more, recent example); and ofcourse, it will come down to who gets hired to replace Green & friends; and IF, THE STAFF CLICKS, WITH THE PLAYERS.

Not sure you have watched many Hawks games before and after the change.

JC was not a great coach but him being fired isn't why they have better numbers.

The difference is 100% on MAF nothing else.

Look at their last 3 games, they were on part for how they have played since the switch, 2 points out of six and were badly outplayed in all 3 games, MAF and the post got the win and he kept them in the flames game.

You guys can blame TG but the simple facts are guys who've excelled under him haven't put the puck in the net and the pk is at 50%.

We are 3rd in GA 5on5 (29) 2nd best in the west, even with the same pathetic output from the guys with their head up there arses if our pk was mid-pack we would be 2nd in the pacific.

I said a couple of weeks ago that they will turn things around and the last couple of games look a lot better, while at the same time I said the Oilers will flounder once their pp slows down and their terrible 5on5 gets exposed.

They have given up 41 GA 5on5 and aside from McDrai have carried them the last 10 games, everyone else has  regressed.

Feel free to remind me of this post down the road but the nucks will be going on a run and finish ahead of the Oilers with TG as the coach.

Boeser, Pettersson, Horvat all with 1 point in 6 games combined, this should be a bigger story here, these guys need to step up their game this is horrible. Not expecting much this game probably another blowout loss, but like a sadist masochist I will watch it

FTFY. Green is the sadist towards us fans for only switching the line combos and never the systems.

This is what I'm sort of starting to shift my hopes to... if we can acquire assets for guys that you don't see being here 1-2 years from now, and those acquired assets are younger players who are entering their prime in 1-2 years, then we might actually be able to actually achieve a (relatively) quick retool that sees are more competitive 2-3 years from now, while also somewhat restocking our cupboards via this year's draft.

If the leadership group (including the staff) remains the same - then we can expect the same mediocre solution.  Anyways, good points...

I think you are over reacting Deb. Was there any doubt that Edler, Tanev and Marty would not do well when they left? No, I don’t think so. They were moved for Cap reasons and having to make hard choices for where the team wanted to be in 2-3 years out.  I am more upset over Gadjovich than any other move. Maybe Mac. Why would we expect players like Petey, Hogs and Hughes to have the mental NHL toughness that is only gained by experiencing what they are going thru right now. This team went into the season with a d-side game that was not playoff quality and by assumption not playoff quality players. The positives were offence expectation and a strong net. We got the net but not much else.

I am not one for blowing things up. Making playoffs is not the be all for me. It is about development and evaluation. Sounds like a broken record but there it is. If the team underperforms into spring then move the players out who have wilted and re-evaluate the management. I do agree with some that not having a separate President of Operations is not good.

The Gadj move is the one from this season that astounds me. The kid played hard in pre season and drive the net several times hard getting good chances. To keep that useless pylon Chaisson over him infuriates me.

Every time I walk by one of the Aquilini's restaurants I look to see if FA is inside to go tear him a new one until I am escorted out.

A few friends are concierge here. They are not recommending his joints until at least the coach is changed.

Green missing out on the best news presser in a long time

- the canucks moved up one spot from.the 6th worst team in the league last night thanks to the Blackhawks loss. We are now only the 7th worst team statically. PROGRESS

- only 2 teams below us in the standings have games in hand that if they win all of could pass us   Hence without event taking the ice we can only fall to 5th worst at this time. PROGRESS !!!!

The only downside is if we win tonight we would be tied with Buffalo and they have that tie breaker at this time so we can't improve at all. Surely he could spin this as a loss wint be that harmful then right?

Good points; but it will come down, to who will be making the decision.  If the leadership group remains (including the staff), remains then we can expect the same mediocre solutions.
