Real adversity since Bruce took over. Let's see how they respond.

Tought they didn't play poorly esp first two road games.

Some teams are just so good and on a winning streak. Nux out for a week or more with multiple players isolated for testing positive. It will take a while for them to get back in their groove.

A loss is a loss regardless, but this kind of makes our 5-2 loss look a little bit better in perspective.

I never had us up there with the teams we just played. We don't need to be that good to make the playoffs. We need to beat the ducks of the league and the flyers of the league.

Low expectations imo. Enough excuses already. Play competitive hockey please.

I want Petey to break Ovenchickens ankles with slick deke that sends the old grey haired legend spinning into the end boards. Immediately followed by a wicked Alien pass to Hogs, who finally gives us a lacrosse goal to seal the win.

That too much to ask?

Go Nucks.

What many do is take losses out of context and without considering perspective and information relative TO the losses.  For some, it's just a good reasON to, once again, scream that we suck and should trash the team and start over.  It's a narrative that's ready to go on a loop.  More of the same.

It's more complex than that.  That's a really dumbed down version of hockey....it's a tough gig and teams on a roll and with momentum can really carry that a long way.  Not to ignore that there are some really good times and it's not a fluke.  But some of these teams have ALSO had losing streaks and bouts where they didn't just barrel through.  It happens.  You have to exercise some patience.  We're always looking for the next scapegoat here but maybe it's just that it's not that easy and is a grind.  Especially when COVID and shutdowns are factoring in.

Not excuses...we haven't put ourselves in a great position and must wins are due to some history of poor play.  But recently, this team has looked pretty good and the losses aren't due to being a garbage team.  I hate that and some continually try to sell it.

over the course of a full season, do you feel this team is:

a) t-5 in the league

b) 6-10

c) 11-16
d) 17-24
e) 25-32
