I already know what everyone will say. They will say oh but look how they outshot them after that first period. You have to understand Tampa is tired. They have been on a long road trip. We were lucky we weren’t the first ones to face them on their trip. We really aren’t that close. They are beating us despite being tired. The way we come out in games is our culture. That has to change. It’s the same players use to playing that way and it’s not good. Too many games starting out like they have all the time in the world kills this team. They treat their pp the same way. It doesn’t have to be this trade deadline but man their needs to be change in the core. These starts happen too often. Talk is cheap.

That's what tampa was doing in the first. One of the best displays of cutting towards the net I've ever seen. 

 

Our boys weren't boxing out. 

 

Also our forwards have a horrendously bad plan of going for tips every time they're in front and they always get out of the screen to do so. You have like a 1/50 to 1/100 chance of actually tipping a puck on net and they go for it every single time instead of staying in front of the net. Jannick Hansen calls it playing bad goaltending when a proper screen is set.
