lol what the hell.  how was that a goal, does anybody even know the rules anymore?

I thought so too but the puck went into the Oilers zone of the AVs player while another player was still in the zone, that player got out before the first player entered the zone and touched the puck, as much as I hate it, it was the right call.

I'm still confused...I mean, did this change?

From the league: 83.1 Off-side – Players of the attacking team must not precede the puck into the attacking zone. The position of the player's skates and not that of his stick shall be the determining factor in all instances in deciding an off-side.

Didn’t Maker touch the puck before he crossed the blue line ? That’s control of the puck

don’t really care who wins, I’m even leaning  Colorado, but that’s a tough call to swallow

I'm not watching the Canadian feed, see what they say in intermission.  The US feed has a NHL ex ref explaining it.

He wasn’t in control until he touched it…

He already had the puck before hand. Definitely was in control. Puck wasn't going up ice incidentally.

I guess the way Makar is skating quickly aids him in that it wasn't on his stick despite being in control of it, but that's pretty wild.

He actually touched it twice before it entered the Oilers zone.
