Toronto and Edmonton are proof if you have mediocre defence and goaltending you don't get far.

It's true that you need depth because of all the injuries, but at the end of the day teams like Tampa, Colorado, and Anaheim back in the day just have Hedman, Makar, Niedermeyer/Pronger eat up close to 30 minutes each.  

 

The biggest piece that's missing for us is not a 3rd line center, or a bunch of good d-men...  we are missing one really good RD that can play 25 minutes and give us a clear advantage over playing other d-men in his spot.

Hopefully he's good by the time Montreal draft rolls around.  Should be a legendary booooo parade :)

I remember it cuz i decided to mow the lawn during the 2nd intermission. Stupidly, i went over the wire that then whipped around my calf.  So much pain. Still have the welt which i associate with that day.
