He played at a norris caliber level 5+ years ago and JB thought it was just Arizona holding him down.

The fact he was hoping he was getting the 5+ years ago OEL without looking at his salary cap hit and seeing the danger tells you how incompetent and desperate he was.

Not sure why the “we should have rebuilt crowd” is so mad.

This team is so bad it will accomplish that goal regardless.

And to the anti-Aquilini crowd take solace in the fact that these owners are spending over the cap to have the worst team in the league. They deserve this.

If there’s ever a year to be this bad this is it. This management and last managements incompetence may actually be the best thing that could happen to us. We should have been this bad in 2015, but thankfully this will be the year to make up for it.

More than likely you'll see more empty seats at Rogers.

Good.

Only thing that will actually get owners attention. I haven’t spent money on this team in years. I wish more fans would follow suit.

If you care about this team you would stop handing money over to these slumlord crook owners.

Rebuilding isn't just losing. It's selling your depreciating assets and maximizing your draft capital.

A year like 2016 where we lost to the bottom 3 but had no second round pick is the worst of both worlds.

An average team finishing 15th place but keeling all their default picks would have ended up with more prospects than us.

There are still people on these boards who are okay with the trade.

Sutter was one of the best moves that Benning made.  He paid him too much but he was a great piece to have skill wise and leadership wise.  Funniest guy on the team they used to say.  It's a damn shame that he got long covid and was forced into retirement

Sutter played like he had Covid before Covid was invented.
Having said that, he might have been Benning’s best acquisition.

Extra picks are a small part of the equation. They often don’t equal much.

Every team that has rebuilt and become a top team has done it on their top 3 picks.

Agree to disagree. Its not a small thing to add more bullets to the chamber .

Then the other part of the equation. Selling your vets so you have cap space to acquire more picks for bad contracts and have cap flexibility. Something simple losing and staying the course doesn't accomplish. Just hope we are sellers at tdl
