hockeyfan-observer Posted January 21, 2023 Share Posted January 21, 2023 4 core (expensive) players the team has to decide on - Petterssen Hughes Miller and Horvat - can keep three but not all 4 based on the salaries. - if you want to trade Miller - it will need to be combination of things including salary retention (25% plus), a 2nd round draft pick and / or possibly Kuzmenko. A Horvat trade will be the other way, possibly 1st, no salary retention and a young player like Kuz coming this way. Then there is the problem of Petey in a couple years - possibly 9.5-10M+. Regarding BB, I wish they leave thins alone till year end as I have noted, the players have not performed as expected - changing another 3 coaches mid season is crazy. They should think of consequences if this does not work out before committing quickly - BB may not have been the JR/PA hire but Cull and Yeo were their choices - what does it tell other futures candidates if you let someone go after 4 months.
