He was not indispensable to the team & was always a trade-talk or injury away from leaving the team. He had streaks of great contribution, but his talk could not always be matched by the walk. Plenty of respect for Sutter as a teammate, but these chatty guys need to deliver generally far better than they do - to be named the captain. Consistency of effort, reliability, trustworthiness, passion, integrity, a big-game performer & point-producer, loyal & sacrificing, exhibiting level-headed ness in all situations…if those things were all there, Miller would be wearing the “C” now.
