I feel as fans of Canadian hockey as a whole we should be more sympathetic given the seriousness of the Oiler position right now, pride, jobs and human spirit is on the line hard to understand why so many choose to put down others instead of helping them up when they are down as I am confident any fan would do back to us if the roles were reversed, think about that.

I can't think of a team sport where a fanbase is excited to see their rivals win.  Do you think an Everton likes it when Liverpool wins?  Do you think Flyers fans are happy that the Pens won Stanley Cups?  And of course, do you think Calgary fans aren't happy with what they're seeing now??
