Canuck Place has their own event, it's like the entire evening with the wives and everyone involved.  So not sure what the wearing of a warmup jersey has to do with Canuck Place, Canucks for Cancer, Canucks for Autism, etc.  The Canucks raise money for all those causes in many different ways.

There's nights for these charities. Not just off the ice but usually game jerseys' have a logo for the event. Like Hockey Fights Cancer. Once again Rememberence Day, and other nights have practice jersey's. Various holidays and cultural events have special jerseys. Like for First Nations etc? So those are gone too? Seems to me like throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

I believe a game jersey that is worn in the game is different than a warmup jersey that is worn in warmup, don't you think?  I'm pretty sure they can put those patches on actual games jerseys and sell them to raise money.  Yes, ALL warmup jerseys will be gone...

This is exactly why it was so wrong for those opting out- they have successfully canceled something that the majority supported

Social media is already flush with people claiming victory and cheering the nhl for taking something back that was apparently lost

Very disappointing

It means all theme.based.jerseys are gone

Cancer - indigenous- military and the list goes on

And what about Christmas? How many atheists will it take to cancel NHL Christmas events ? 3? Maybe 4?

This just proved why it's needed because all it took was for a small very vocal minority to take away something that was enjoyed by the majority and needed by some

A few decades back B.C. Ferries put out a half page add in the Province/Sun newspaper saying they were getting rid of the violent video games from their arcades.

This was because they had received 12 complaints.

They carry 21 million people a year, so they changed things to suit approximately .000005% of their ridership.

The jerseys and themed nights will still happen.  The jerseys will not be worn in warmups but they will still be designed and made available for sale.

That makes them the same as store bought novelty gear- not player worn

Changes a 3000 dollar.charity jersey to a 299 buck common jersey

They are not the same
