The score boards are raised and lowered numerous times per year and this can happen at anytime. Optics to me are that Rogers arena brought in a huge new scoreboard very shorty before the date that they booked a big concert, not giving themselves enough time to see if they could structurally and safely hold the scoreboard up, and consequently postponing the show, calling it “unforeseen circumstances”. But if they had built in another day or two to test it out, could have avoided the situation. No need to crush people. But no need to postpone either. Looks like it is going to be an amazing add! Anyone know what that black underlay that has been laid down on the floor? Looks like it has come in rectangular sections. Or all lower bowl will be at least followed by upper bowl the following summer. Either way they will be replaced, but I agree it should have all been done at once but they got concerts that make that hard to do I guess. Not like we haven't had long off seasons lately...
