canadiangunner
Heard yesterday on the radio (botch was on) that Benning asked Burrows to waive his NTC for a trade that he had worked out. Burrows declined. Anyone have any details? What team was it and return? Would have been great to offload Burrows 4.5m cap hit. If he's not with the sedins he is a third liner at best. AriGold
I would like to unload Burrows for the simple fact that he is viewed so negatively in the NHL wither it's teams or referees. I would like a change of scenery for him and a new feel to this team.
Tangelos
I can really appreciate what JB is trying to do. It's time to get rid of the stale core. Surprised someone actually wanted him
Bure to Mogilny
It was to the devils for one of there d prospects and a high pick. Im conflicted on this cause i see the team going in one direction but burr will always be my fave player and dont think benning wants him. I know linden loves him and says he will rebound next year along with hansen and elder
The Colt 45s
I heard that on 1040 at some point in the morning.
canadiangunner
I loved burrows at 2.25 million and in the prime of his career. I don't at 4.5m and the decline. Would have been a great trade with new jersey. Hopefully, montreal makes a pitch I can see burrows waiving to go there.
DrJockitch
He is the type of guy that tends to get more at the trade deadline anyway. I am still of the opinion that he earned getting a bit overpaid with this club as he took a lot less on the previous contract and did a lot for us. Hard to be sentimental in sport and stay competitive though. Hopefully he bounces back this year.
youngguns09
Does Burrows have a full out NTC?
TheRussianRocket.
His time has come. Done a lot for us but too big of a cap hit. If he has an average year I can Benning trading him. If he picks it up, let's say 20 goals 30 assists, can see him sticking around along with the Sedins/Hamhuis/Bieksa to help the youth movement. Tangelos
Yep the devils love their over aged forwards. It was to the devils for one of there d prospects and a high pick. Im conflicted on this cause i see the team going in one direction but burr will always be my fave player and dont think benning wants him. I know linden loves him and says he will rebound next year along with hansen and elder Oh man if we could somehow get Merrill or Gelinas out of Jersey for Burrows... That would be sweet
Monty
Perhaps if/when the Canucks are on the outside looking in come the trade deadline, Burrows may think again about waiving. He's a playoff performer, and a team like Montreal would cough up the assets to get him.
JohnLocke
Does Burrows have a full out NTC? Everyone on the Canucks has a full out NTC courtesy of Mr. Mike Gillis.
Hairy Kneel
The cap space would be great to acquire a scoring forward, something Burrows knows he is not but that we need..sorry but he may not fit into Bennings overall revamp of the Canuck's gameplan. He certainly has a lot to offer to the right team.

stawns
if it was indeed NJ, can you blame him? It also doesn't mean he wouldn't waive for a different team.

M A K A V E L I 96
Good player, good guy, not so good contract The years of being severely underpaid probably makes up for the contract. It's too early to give up on Burrows. He could be back to a 25 - 30 goal scorer next year.

Master Mind
I know I'm probably in the minority here, but I'm glad he said no. I want him to stay a Canuck.
