gmen81
Apparently Jets didn't like what they saw from Hutchinson in pre-season. That's why the went and got a backup for Pavelec
King Heffy
Fair trade for both teams. Tangradi will be a good fit with their forward group.
BanTSN
Tangradi. Lol.
Warhippy
Huh. I don't know enough about either player but Budaj is certainly a solid and experienced back up and Montreal has a crazy depth right now in Tokarski and wunderkid Fucale. Van and Mon the two deepest teams at the one position depth is almost meaningless
JeremyCuddles
Winnipeg is capable of making trades Never thought I'd see the day.
Mike Vanderhoek
solid backup for Winnipeg. Tangradi's loss won't be felt.
canucks411
Good ol Saskatchewan boy Dustin Tokarski, wins the back up job. Hopefully he gets some decent playing time and makes the most of this opportunity. $560K up from $80K last year. Nice raise!

Look out Pavelec. i dont think they will move him ..he was pretty strong in the pre-season may to high expections on hutchinson ..he should play one full season in the AHL. Rex425
Tokarski could be a great backup this season.
King Heffy
Budaj<Pavelec I agree, but Pavelec might play better with some real competition. It can't make him any worse.

I think by that he meant that Budaj can steal that starting job and put Pavelec on the back burner this season.
King Heffy
Tokarski could be a great backup this season. He's already there IMO. Acquitted himself very well in the playoffs, playing in a market where there's even more pressure on goalies than Vancouver. He'll do just fine playing under Carey Price. Bombastik der Teutone
I think by that he meant that Budaj can steal that starting job and put Pavelec on the back burner this season. well that could happen ..budaj is a good guy
Master Mind
Jets finally made a trade that involved players. Montreal wasn't going to get much back for Budaj, but Tangradi is a decent pickup for them. I think there goes Brodeur's last chance of playing in the NHL. Jets were the only team in need of a goalie.
Guest Dasein
WPG can't be serious in thinking having two backups goaltenders instead of one and an AHLer will improve their team by much.. But there's that MTL move everyone was waiting for. Is Ryan Johansen the last question mark before the season begins?
coryberg
Tangradi just cleared waivers yesterday so I'm guessing they will send him to Hamilton. He is on a 1 way contract so this was a total bonus for the Jets. Get rid of 675k that they would have to pay in the AHL and get a solid backup. I remember when the ducks traded kunitz for Whitney, a big part of that deal was the can't miss power forward (Tangradi). Too funny.
bigbadcanucks
I'm thinking that if JB waited until this weekend to place Markstrom on waivers, the Jets would have plucked him up. What a difference a week makes...
