Dazzle
$ 25 per seat per game, as per loyalty program, for lower bowl seats. Yikes. I don't want American teams to move but teams that have such poor attendance records are very sad to see. It's not that FLA doesn't have a fanbase; they did. Look at 1997 when they had Vambiesbrouck and when they were a dominant team. I think the fanbase, as a whole, is apathetic. Don't kid ourselves - when Vancouver was doing really poorly in hockey, few people actually showed up. Just shows you that "loyalty" is fickle. When a team does as badly as FLA has done over the years, you'll end up with some fans that may never come back.
nux4lyfe
As much as Lu wanted to play in Florida I bet a part of him misses all the excitement hockey brought around Vancity.

Their attendance has been on the rise and the Panthers on the fall. Also one of the best teams vs. one of the worst in the east and TBL has cheaper tickets and have much more exciting players to watch (Hedman, Bishop, Drouin, and the obvious Stamkos)

I'd laugh my ass off if Florida ended up re-locating to Quebec City or somewhere really cold in the winter... bringing Luongo with it.

Miss Korea Bob.Loblaw
As much as Lu wanted to play in Florida I bet a part of him misses all the excitement hockey brought around Vancity. Vancouver is not a very big hockey town. It's a Canucks town. Huge crowds don't come to the Giants games. More people watch football and soccer. It's also too warm and wet for outdoor hockey. The city might have a long history in the game but right now I wouldn't say hockey brings excitement to Vancouver.
Guest Dasein
I'd laugh my ass off if Florida ended up re-locating to Quebec City or somewhere really cold in the winter... bringing Luongo with it. Why he's from Quebec (province) - it's not like he's never experienced the cold before.. Luongo wanted out of VAN because 1) he wanted to be a starter in the NHL (something he was not in Vancouver with Schneider then Lack), and he wanted FLA because 2) his family is in Florida, not because it's warm there.. Quebec City is at least still in the same time zone as Florida and he'd still be the starter, so Luongo wouldn't care. It'd be funny if they moved to Seattle, and then added a young star goaltender that takes his job, but not a move to Quebec City.

Wow, I don't know who or where you watch the games with, but with my buddies, It sure brings excitement...All those consecutive sellouts didn't happen for no reason.. Nucks and Florida fans don't compare. We are loyal..and the weather conditions don't have anything to do with hockey. I can honestly say that CDC is probably the most active hockey board in all of the NHL, So don't tell me Van is not a big hockey town!
Gurn
"$ 25 per seat per game, as per loyalty program, for lower bowl seats."I'd pay that to watch the last place Canucks, at that price they would still sellout.

DeltaSwede
The team needs to be moved. It's sad to see any franchise move, but it is done in Florida. They need to get that team out of there. Owners are just throwing money into the fire at this point. It's not the fact that there are no fans in Florida or fans of the Panthers for that matter, 10 or so years of poor hockey does this to a non traditional market. Does Florida really need two hockey teams? why can't Quebec have two instead?
Apple Juice
What surprises me the most out of that picture is that people in the upper bowl don't ask the ushers if they could move down to the lower bowl because of the poor attendance.
