Sygvard
We threw in Edler as a sweetener somewhere when we first started. It made so much sense at the time! He was coming off a bad season. Expensive. Aging. Recently injured. Terrible team. CLEAR target for spring cleaning. ...now he is one of the highest point producers in the league, and still truckin. Woops. 1 1

Popular Post Salter
I will be travelling out of country for the month of July, so please do not send trade offers directly to me. Include the other commissioners as well. I will still be on once and awhile but to ensure a quick posting include all of us until August. @thejazz97 @Master Mind @Jaku 2

thejazz97
FA Frenzy With July 1 approaching, here are some basic guidelines that we'll be using to navigate the free agent season: Unsigned UFAs will be removed from rosters no later than June 30th. They may be removed without warning before then. As RFAs are automatically qualified, they will not be removed off rosters at this time. Any offers without a plan in the organization will be disregarded. Usually, if a player doesn't receive a vision for how they fit onto the team, they will wait to consider the offer until a team sends one. The Commissioner Team encourages teams to send organizational plans with their offers regardless of the time of year, but for the month of July, any offers to UFAs without a pitch will not be considered. You can offer the max contract of 5 years, $15.6m, but without a pitch, it won't be considered. There is a process for signing FAs this year (again). The process has been detailed below, and aims to curb arms races over players. Hopefully, we don't end up with a $2.5m Adam Cracknell again When signing RFAs, as per usual, giving compensation to the player's former team will be required. If the team that owns the rights to an RFA declines to match an offer, they will receive a payment from the signing team, as outlined below. Any draft picks transferred do not have to be ones designated to the signing team, but will have to be held by the signing team at the time the contract is signed. There will not be a period of time where the players and teams can "talk". You may send in an offer before July 1, but it will not be considered before then. Enquiries as to what players might sign for will not be considered by UFAs during the first week of FA frenzy, but will be afterwards. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! Offer Evaluation Process: Spoiler Practical Example: Spoiler Say the four of us are competing to sign Ilya Kovalchuk. ARZ offers 3 years, $4m DET offers 3 years, $5m NYR offers 2 years, $5m ANA offers 1 year, $750k The teams that made offers that weren't even close get dropped off after the first round of offers, while the rest are asked for their best offers: ARZ walks away DET offers 3 years, $7m NYR offers 3 years, $5m Here we have a clear winner. However, if things got a little more intense... ARZ walks away DET offers 3 years, $6.5m NYR offers 3 years, $6.5m Here, we would ask Detroit and NY for their best offers once more, letting them know that their offer was close or tied (I'd put a cap at $500k difference for going to a 3rd round). Then whoever had the best offer would win, even if it was within $250k. If they are tied once more, we'd vote on the best location for the player based on role and team position. To sum up: Round 1 - Best group of offers / offers within a reasonable range Round 2 - Best second offer (if necessary) Round 3 - Best third offer (if necessary) Round 4 - Commissioners decide (if Round 3 results in a tie) RFA Compensation Schedule: Spoiler $1,395,053 or below: None $1,395,054-$2,113,716: 3rd $2,113,717-$4,227,437: 2nd $4,227,438-$6,341,152: 1st, 3rd $6,341,153-$8,454,871: 1st, 2nd, 3rd $8,454,872-$10,568,589: 2 1sts , 2nd, 3rd Over $10,568,590: 4 1sts Spoiler @Jaku @thejazz97 @Canuck Surfer @Sygvard @Sestito'sHandMadeVodka @maroe @JE14 @WalkWithElias40 @Big-Country @D-Money @Rindiculous @Salter @Matthews @inane @Frogger @Baer. @Bombastik der Teutone @apollo @70seven @Nail @Blue Jay 22 @Master Mind @Azzy @Phil The Thrill @cunningham19 @pmalina @LilBurrows @Alain Vigneault @Sane33 @Watermelons @JimLahey @Peaches @Art Vandelay Edited June 29, 2019 by thejazz97 2

Baer.
Minnesota pre-free-agency roster Needless to say the stealth tank the last 3 years has been a success. Lots of good prospects ready to step up. Andersson, Puljujarvi (who will hopefully be traded out of Edmonton), Tippett, and Smith lead the way, while we used our spare picks and players to bolster the roster with misfit, yet productive players. Filip Forsberg - Sean Couturier - David Pastrnak Micheal Ferland - Ryan Dzingel - Phil Kessel Mikkel Boedker - Lias Andersson - Owen Tippett Magnus Paajarvi - Zach Sanford - Jesse Puljujarvi P.E. Bellemare Michal Kempny - Brandon Montour Olli Maatta - Johnny Boychuk Ty Smith - Michael Stone Josh Brown Semyon Varlamov Aaron Dell On the cusp: Jakob Nilsson, Sonny Milano, Vinni Lettieri, Jacob Middleton While this roster may not be elite, yet, Mike Richards' contract will expire next year, giving us even more room to bolster the line up. Forsberg and Pastrnak both had injury plagued years, especially Forsberg who saw a large drop on production. We expect nothing less than playoffs next year. Even though it may seem like our roster is full, we intend to add at least another middle 6 forward and bottom 4 D in free agency. 1

I think the day after paid someone to take his contract? Duchesen was traded, Colorado did an about face. 5 hours ago, D-Money said: Yeah, I think he traded him and Gryzlek for "a playoff D-man". Yup, Green. Life would be different? But we should have moved Corey Perry's contract instead of Johnson. Live and learn. It took a while to recover. We'll go ok moving forward....
