Put him on the Caps and they still don't get past the second round.

  3. Well yes it's been reported they've been making calls to move up, it's also just due diligence. Link
  4. It's the end of May and I'm cranky b/c of the heat. Don't know how I'm getting through until September

@Tortorella's Rant I used to be the same way till I realised I was depressed and just wanted to stay inside. Conquered that demon pretty quickly though.

I absolutely loved the Pens-Sens series. They played hockey they way it is meant to play.

I tend to think the Caps - Pens and the Blues Preds was better but hey to each their own. The Sens and Bruins were fine but again 65 is probably going to have surgery asap

true enough.  The Finals should be fast.  I wish Letang was playing though.  I think the PREDS win this in quick fashion.

  6. Go pens. Can't cheer for a team which tries to lull its opponent to sleep.

I've watched every game since the start of the second round but nice try love

  7. I don't really see how this part is debatable, Jake is not great at processing the game at the NHL level, up untill this point in his career. Doesn't mean he can't be a good player though. The way you think the game, unlike how fast you get or how strong you become is more along the lines of you have it or you don't. Jake can still be an effective player, if he limits himself and plays to his strengths of skating fast, hitting hard, and occasionally making a pass that isn't as hard as a shot. Not everyone needs to think the game like Crosby to have success but let's not pretend he doesn't have his problems with it
  8. I've watched most of the playoffs but wouldn't touch Anaheim-Ottawa

Oh, but think about the vicarious existing between Kesler and Burrows.

  9. Have fun playing meaningless hockey in the world championships Ovie.

  10. I didn't say we should, I'm saying that's what they'd be after, not another d man.
  11. We are talking about Philadelphia right? They are LOADED on the back end. The last thing they need is another defenceman. Now if you want to throw Thatcher Demko ++ their way, maybe they'd listen.
  12. I want winter back. Above 22 is too hot anytime
  13. Everytime I come back from vacation I'm reminded how great Vancouver is. From the tap water to the mountains. I'll pay to live here idc

      Top 30

But he's 1 cup 2 personal awards and or about 300 points away from the top 15

I'd say Jagr is closer (the guy was unreal during his prime), followed by Crosby

      Jägermeister

      Not even close.

  15. I know this is most likely a joke but part of me is worried it isn't just due to the effort
  16. The Canucks weren't tanking. They were just bad.

    1. Wilbur

      Wilbur

And now TO is laughing at us how we can't even rebuild right.  Sure TO, you try falling 5 spots in the draft in 2 years.  How would the Maple Leafs look with Zacha and Dubois instead of Marner and Matthews?

    2. -DLC-

      -DLC-

Except, some of the decisions at the end were based on not trying to win, but to give players a chance to play.  So they didn't directly try to lose per se, but they also weren't too concerned about winning.  So the tank mentality was part of that.

    3. -DLC-

      -DLC-

Don't ever try to convince me of a "tank to win" deal....just is all up in the air.  You play to win, period.

  17. You need to accumulate assets and then hit the home run, I'm okay with stocking a core up and then getting some luck with the superstar draft next year
  18. It's good to see he's improved, but other than that, how much does he hit? That was part of the big appeal of selecting him, it seems to have dissipated entirely. If someone wants to bring up the whole shoulder issue that would be disappointing.
  19. No problem if he signs in the KHL, as others have pointed out, Utica is going to be crowded next year, and first year players generally don't get a lot of rope to begin with. 1 - 2 Years of playing against men in the K, and then coming here would be nothing but beneficial.
  20. People are actually worried about this? If he plays and gets injured, he's going to have a lot less leverage to get that long term deal he wants, because from a management side, their argument will be ya, but lets see what you do after you recover from this. That's really all it looks like there is to it.
  21. 82 games is way too long, just get me to the playoffs. Do we really need to play ARZ 5 times a year?

If you're OK with paying $3,500 for a playoff ticket, sure lets skip to the playoffs.

I agree 60 games would be better, home and away with every team

  22. He doesn't need to be a #1 defenceman. Even a number 3 dman has just as much value as a second line winger.
  23. Rasmussen is being avoided because it looks like most of his points are a result of him being a giant playing against boys, and we already drafted that project in Virtanen
  24. Man I had no idea Brayden Point had 40 points this year. That Tampa scouting system is something else
