    So how are Podkolzin and Hoglander the real deal? Their resumes dont impress me. I have seen some Podkilzin highlights, he likes to drive the net which is great to have. But still doesnt mean hes the real deal. I'd like to see our older prospects start getting some chances like Lockwood, Lind, Gadjovich.

    Pearson has not been good for over a year now. This is why LA and Pittsburgh traded him for next to nothing. People here always get excited about a new player if they put up a few points in the first 10 games. And then reality hits. There were posts about Leivo as a golden nugget last season lol. Nothing against Pearson or Leivo, but they are just decent third liners; nothing less, nothing more.

    Horvat likes to play with Baertschi. Except they demoted him for no good reason even though he has been a consistent >0.5ppg player.

    Can't blame him.. The guy literally did it perfectly.. carried the team to make the playoffs, and won the Stanley Cup.

    Technically the Wild can get a nice haul for Zucker. Not sure we can outbid what's out there, not to mention, our salary cap.

    So why did Sautner only play 3 minutes? Injured? Made a mistake? Or just Green being Green?

    We are like more than half way to developing Gaudette so we can see how he pans out, yet let's trade him before we can see what he can do in the NHL...?

    Never worth 10 million to begin with, Florida was just desperate. In a rational market, he is worth more like 7.5million.

    I'd trade Pettersson for 10+ other players currently in the league, let alone the legend Gretzky.

    why are people so eager to trade Markstrom away? I wont be confident in Demko until hes played well in at least 2 full NHL seasons under his belt.

    poor guy... turned around and hit by a truck. Hits like these shouldn't occur in the game, concussion is not funny. Hope there is a suspension. Not seeing Gaunce and no intent is just the biggest bull$&!#, the guy literally leaned into Gaunce.

    Seemed like a decent analysis at first. What makes you say Rasmus Asplund wont make the NHL? 75 games 10 goals, 41 points in the AHL last year as a 21 years old. If Juolevi had those stats people on here would hype through the roof.

    If Devils dont make the playoffs, they are going to get a nice haul at the trade deadline providing someone has the cap space to make it happen.

    Markstorm last year was pretty good given how poorly the team played. This year 4 games in hes been awesome. But. Calling him elite is just lol.

    wow pretty big loss for the rangers. He was the center piece when they traded away JT Miller too.

    No one's ever made that conclusion, you are making it up yourself. Everyone should know that we have been injure plagued for the last few seasons and we should be well prepared for it with depth if we want to make the playoffs; which Biega is and has proven to work well.

    When you put it that way I agree with you. The youngersters can get a shot when injuries hit. Just doesn't seem like Benning's historical actions though, he usually signs a bunch of UFAs and take the youngster's spots ; cough Fantenberg.

    Supposingedly we are trying to make the playoffs. Off we go trading away a depth dmen who has been very serviceable for us stepping up into games for the past 3 years when we have injuries.
