    Doesn't Marner have to agree to the offer sheet? Columbus is trending down after losing several players in free agency, seems like a place to avoid if he wants to win.

    I am not too worried about the cap space quite yet. The good teams seem to find a way to make these things work so I am expecting that the Canucks will make this work as well. Go Ferland!!!!!!! ps. please leave the post game dancing around stuff in Carolina.

    I don't really pay a lot of attention to some teams in the league but it did seem like Edmonton were handing out fat contracts for many of their first round picks, that is, Hall, Nug-kins and Eberle. I blame Edmonton because it feels right to blame Edmonton.

    Nice to get Leivo back in the fold of things. He is a solid third line player whom can move up the line up if needed. I was happily impressed with him last year

    Car GM eluded that they would match but not right away. They want to screw Montreal from being able to sign any other free agents.

    Offer sheets are fun, interesting to see this play out. Aho is a very good player and is worth the offer sheet.

    Nope, Pd and his family were obviously elevated at the draft and will certainly be in Vancouver as soon as reasonably possible.

    Refresshing to see... I hope no big dollars here, some speculations have him at 8mil for 7 years. I doubt the Canucks would or could actually do that.

    I know I know stay away and all.....I do actually like Ryan Hartman on this list. He used to draw some comparisons to Matt Cooke and could be a decent depth player.

    I liked both of these guys in their draft years but if they aren't starting to show much of anything at 24 yo then they will not make it in the NHL.

    Assuming (huge assumption) that Baertschi can play and remain relatively healthy, I'd like to see remaining dollars spent on defense.

    Pretty much stating the obvious. Vancouver's drafting sucked under Nonis and Gillis and is now showing signs of significant improvements.

    The positive is that Benning is trying to surround the young players with guys that can support them and help them to be better......This is something that teams like Edmonton has failed to grasp.

    I'd love to sign Myers. There are a lot of teams looking at him so the only way to get him is via some term and $'s. It may be a contract similar to LE's which I am ok for on Myers as he is only 29. At the end of the term he would be around 35 which is ok for me.
