    Man, Watching the PQ ceremony again makes me so proud to be a Canuck fan, So many great players all under 1 roof, Seeing Smyl, Nazzy, Bure, Linden and McLean was awesome! Brought back some great memories..

    Honestly, Mike Gillis get's a lot of credit, his transactions have been panning out, I believe if the Aquilinis let him run the show without interfering , He still would be the GM cause I believe in what he was trying to do..

      Gillis was a great GM, he had one weakness, and that was his inability to make a trade when it made the most sense. He cost us ALOT in the Luongo and Schneider deals, yes things have panned out, but they could have gone so much smoother.

      Gillis' picks near the end were working, but he really screwed up a lot of things too.

      Mishandled Luongo/Schneider situation

      Unable to make fair trades with other teams.

      Drafting record was poor (outside of the last year)

      Did not address issues of teams - i.e. depth.

      Benning has shown that this is the way to run a team.
