  1. He wouldn't be allowed to fly with a concussion, right? So this isn't the worst news?
  2. Haven't seen this here yet, and I searched for Judd. Good to see that Benning and Aqua are keeping good people around.
  3. What's the song that plays from 5:10 to 5:40?

      That's it! Thank you.

  4. I think losing Stecher is not a massive step back from his replacement options Losing Tanev is a large step back, but with his injury history, I think we have to trade or walk away Losing Markstrom is the biggest question mark because we don't have a large enough NHL sample size for Demko. And look how many years it took Markstrom to find his mojo. I'd keep him and let the expansion draft play out as it will. If we lose one, that sucks, but letting Markstrom walk guarantees we won't have both.
  5. If Woo makes the Canucks in the future, he may be the first jersey I get with a name plate
  6. Can anyone place the music they used while presenting the awards at the All star skills. I know I recognize it.
  7. Anybody else watching the AHL all star skills comp.? The comet's only representative is Rafferty
  8. Its the same topic. Cheering for Canadian teams over American teams.
  9. I'm totally with you. It doesn't matter that over 50% of the NHL is made of Canadian players when American cities are the ones cheering when the Cup is won. It doesn't matter to the American fans that half their team is made up of Canadians. If we win the Cup, its' Vancouver's cup. It doesn't matter that Boeser, Gaudette, Demko, etc are American. Thus, I don't care that O'reilly is Canadian. When he won the cup, it was the city of St. Louis winning the Cup. And I'd rather any Canadian franchise win the Cup over an American one.
  10. If Virtanen and McDavid were timed using the All Star Fastest Skater rules, is there a chance that Virt could be faster?

I'm confident Jake could do it, when he's going.. wow.

As a junior, he won both the forward and backward competitions with relative ease.   I think if there are "corners' McD can edge better but if a flat out race, Jake would be right there forwards and likely blow him away backwards.

Straight line Jake wins.  Crossovers and Pimple wins.

  11. I absolutely wouldn't be heart broken if we kept neither and Leivo would cost more. Motte's got heart for sure, but if I had to choose between the two, and Leivos salary wasnt an overpayment for his level of production, I'd go Leivo for the offence. If at any time neither are producing, then Motte's better as an energy guy at a lower cost. I count on Leivos offense being sustainable
  12. What is this Love affair with Motte? His underlying numbers are weak and he doesn't have the offensive upside of Leivo. Why Motte over Leivo?
  13. Thus why we let the Motte's and Schallers go. Leivo is better at playing up and down the line up. Motte and Schaller show no upside above the 4th line and are replaceable there. Leivo can keep up on the 2nd line
  14. I'd rather keep Leivo and let go of Motte. Any chance Baer and the Canucks agree to mutually terminate the contract so Baer can sign elsewhere?
  15. UFA's are eligible. Their contracts don't end until June 30th. Vegas was allowed to select them. Vegas also got an exclusive negotiating window.
  16. Who the &^@# is TOT? Wikipedia says he split time with the Wild and Preds? Total?
  17. the worrying thing is when a team is being driven by the success of 'surprises' (Miller, Virtanen, Gaudette, Hughes, Pearson), not all of it is going to be sustainable. Obviously Miller and Hughes look sustainable, and Gaudette and Virtcould even continue to improve, but with Virtanen and Gaudette getting raises this summer, will their continued growth be able to outpace the increase in their salaries?
  18. He shouldn't have been fired.
  19. and we've been in the half that don't for the last 4 years. Making the playoffs would absolutely be an accomplishment. And Green brought the Comets to the AHL finals. It isn't like he doesn't have playoff experience.
  20. How about donating if we make the playoffs?
