Cerridwen
I just can't seem to stop listening to this in these wee hours of a new day.... And all political commentary aside.... the vocal version of this incredible piece of music... 3 Link to comment
Canuck Surfer
Spoiler alert, swearing. Sex, drugs & rock N roll, from a backyard somewhere in Glen Waverley Love the end, like Jake scoring a goal; that's a good one? 1 Link to comment
LionofJudah
Got introduced to this tune a few weeks ago.. thought "meh its good ish". Had a listen while high af and it slaps different. Think it's the jittery beat that moves you differently when you're high (if that makes sense) Link to comment
D-Money
Going to Bahamas concert on Thursday here in Calgary… His recent 2 albums are pretty ‘meh’, but Barchords was phenomenal. Link to comment

Curmudgeon
Seeing that: 1. This is still a hockey board of sorts 2. There has to be some levity sometimes 3. The Canucks are playing as badly as most have ever seen. And so, with deepest apologies to the Rolling Stones and there rendition of Faraway Eyes, with an alt-Faraway Eyes Pro Tip: Start the video and follow along with the new lyrics. I was driving, early one Sunday morning through Burnaby Listen to hockey talk on the local radio station And the preacher said, you know you always have Aquilini at your side And I was so pleased to be informed of this That I ran twenty red lights in his honour Thank you Benning, Thank you Green I had an arrangement, to meet a scout, and I was kind late And I thought by the time I got there, he’d be off He’d be off with the nearest Judd Bracket he could find Much to my surprise, there he was, sitting the corner A little bleary, worse for wear and tear Was a scout with faraway eyes. So if you’re down on your luck And you can’t harmonize Find a scout with faraway eyes And you’re downright disgusted With losing all the time Get a scout, with faraway eyes. Well the preacher said all I had to do was to send Ten dollars to the Church of the Sacred Clan of the Holy Aqilinis Located in somewhere downtown Vancouver And the next week, Francesco would tweet out his thanks And all my dreams would come true, So did and the next week, I got a prayer for the scout, Well you know what kind of eyes he got So if you’re down on your luck And you can’t harmonize Find a scout with faraway eyes And you’re downright disgusted With losing all the time Get a scout, with faraway eyes. 2 1 1 Link to comment

The acoustics, the subdued drumming, the bass is seamless. Even the harmony of the vocals blend perfectly. Bravo! I'm curious to see what Band-Maid unplugged would be like? 2 Link to comment

The acoustic version of Puzzle (also Saiki and Kanami only) is a lot better than the full band, rock version, which is a ripper. Sadly, it is harder to find than the acoustic rendition of Anemone, but it does make appearances in various "reaction" vids (as we've previously looked at a couple of pages back). The Julia Nilon page is perhaps the best discussion vid on that particular song, or discussion of the merits of the vocals. Ah heck, why not.... 6 hours ago, Ghostsof1915 said: I'm curious to see what Band-Maid unplugged would be like? The closest thing I've found to the entire band being "unplugged" (small amp for Misa's bass, and the acoustic guitars plugged into the mic/line system) is this video for a concert they did way back when in 2014. Saiki would have a tender throat at this point, which affected her range (it's kind of notable in Thrill @15:57). Miku was still in her very early stage of learning the guitar. Note: this is on the BiliBili site, for those who are careful about going to strange websites. https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1ms411x7GD/ The concert it points to is this one (for those who have already seen it): regards, G. 1 Link to comment
