And the flak from the 4-0 drubbing continues:

"In the 25 years of the Premier League, no top team have been attacked for unprofessionalism on the scale of Arsenal since their 4-0 defeat at Liverpool."

It was always going to be the case.... Arsenal are one of the major clubs in England. Had it been a smaller club, the debate would have died down, but for teams like Utd, City, Liverpool, Arsenal or Chelsea that kind of uninspired performance, will not be tolerated by then fans....

The way transfer fees and players wages are spiralling there's probably only about twenty thousand people in the country that will be able to afford a seat. Then what? Implosion?

arsenal's week just gets worse. alex oxlade-chamberlain moves to liverpool for a good price (35? 40m?), but AOC will take almost like a 60k paycut just to get out of arsenal haha

countless sources are saying that arsenal cannot afford replace him, and will not be able to afford any more 'big' signings. lots of rumours swirling that Sanchez could be on the way to Man City and Arsenal will demand a big fee AND a replacement sent back.

happy about this loan signing with option to buy for Juve. After Schalke took the captain armband's away from him since he's been with the club in 2011 and then demoted him to the bench, this presents a solid opportunity for Benedikt to get regular minutes like he's accustomed to and reduced pressure on vets like Barzagli and can play the wing back since Allegri was going to be stuck doing a platoon role with both Lichtensteiner and De Sciglio.

What a transfer week for us.

Sold Dembélé for €105m + 40%

Sold Emre Mor for €13m to Celta Vigo

Loaned out Felix Passlack for 2 years to Hoffenheim

Bought Andriy Yarmolenko for €25m from Kiev

Bought Jeremy Toljan for €7m from Hoffenheim

Bought Jadon Sancho today for €7m from Man City

"Susi" Zorc sure deserves a statue after that.

Deadline day

Everton agree to 35m deal for Ross Barkley from Chelsea. Barkley completes medical, then Barkley decides to opt out of the deal. (Some sources saying Barkley DIDN'T complete the medical, and he rejected the move because Barkley felt he was being pushed into one direction). Chance he moves to Chelsea in Jan

Davide Zappacosta moves to Chelsea

Thomas Lemar rejects move to Arsenal (lol)

Arsenal keep Alexis Sanchez

PSG's Serge Aurier moves to Tottenham

Swansea's Fernando Llorente also moves to Spurs

  • 2 weeks later...

Happy City didn't get Sanchez, especially if it meant giving up Raheem Sterling.

Thought today's performance went ok until our keeper got a bunch of studs in his face. Thought Aguero and Jesus started to really work well together with Jesus 2nd goal. Happy Sane got a couple he's been steady and nice to not have to rely on strikers for goals. KDB great.

5-0 best against the reds since 1937.

Aguero now leading all-time non-euro scorer in the prem.

A dominant performance by Arsenal against Bournemouth today.  Which ordinarily wouldn't be worth mentioning but given all the drama surrounding Arsenal recently came as a relief to Gunners' fans.

When Arsenal is inform, they play a fluid and beautiful game that is so fun to watch.

I think we all expected Arsenal to bounce back, no matter who they played this week after the last two weeks.

But the big key is next Sunday.  6 point game.

You mean you didn't have a nagging doubt in your mind at the start of the game: "Yes, I know it's Bournemouth, but......"?

Right about next Sunday.
