[Trade] David Perron to Oilers

Recommended Posts

The main difference between our skilled top 6 and Edmonton skilled top 6 is Burrows and Kesler. 2 guys who are willing to drive the net and can be great shutdown guys in top 6 roles. Oilers don't have that in anyone in their top 6.

Pretty good deal for the Oilers, they don't need a 2nd with all the youth they have in their lineup. Perron will help their top 9.

Hall-RNH-Eberle

Perron-Gagner-Yakupov

Jones-____-Hemsky

Wow that is a pretty small but skilled top 6. In future years how will they afford that?

Perron has concussion problems.

RNH has shoulder problems.

Yakupov is gonna get traded for defense.. Most likely.

Hall and Eberle aren't as good as people think they are. Seriously inconsistent.. Eberle had like 5 goals this year.

Not a fan of this trade for the Blues, with there awesome defence core they have an opportunity to win it all now but getting rid of one there best forwards is not going to help. MPS still has potential to be a very good player but in the immediate future Perron is the better player. I guess cap space forced the Blues to make this trade.

Canucks aren't exactly a big team. Look at teams like LA and Boston with two of the past three cups and making the final 4 again.

"Physical team". Whatever you say.

Message me back when Edmonton fails to get past the first round.

Cap move by StL. Perron's a better player at the moment, but it should be interesting to see if that 'vast, untapped MPS potential' Edmonton's fans have been telling us about for years is finally realized on a better team. Perron scored just one more goal last season.

I think StL did quite well on the trade considering their circumstances.

Edmonton could've done better by just signing a similar UFA, but it was quite obvious Magnus wanted out.
