This league is a joke. You suspend based off of intent, not the outcome. It was an unfortunate play, but anyone with half a mind could tell that it was an accident. Kassian needs to be more careful, but it wasn't malicious at all.

haha. duncan keith gets 5 games for intentionally elbowing a star player in the head, no accident, no play for the puck.. kassian has a careless high stick.. (no different than jones's careless high stick on edler) and he gets punished the same as a guy who intentionally tried to injure someone..

I have no problem with what kessel did with his stick.. scott deserved it. BUT if the league doesn't suspend kessel for 3+ intentional two handers for 10+ there is nooooo questioning the bias of the league discipline towards canucks.

With Schroeder, Jensen, Booth, and Kassian all potentially missing the season opener, I'd have to think one of Shinkaruk, Horvat, or Gaunce will remain with the club, though likely will be returned to their junior team before their 9th game.

This is complete garbage...he was heading towards the boards, couldn't stop, so he turned to ready for impact against the boards. While doing so, his stick hit Gagner after he smashed the boards and there was 0 intent to hit him in any sort of way...wtf?!
