Grienke is leaving the Dodgers and they figure he will get about 150 mil for a 5 year deal...Price would demand similar...there is no way he is back with the Jays.

That would be a good decision. STL let Pujols walk instead of giving him an insane contract and mess with team finances for 10 years, letting him walk enabled the Cards to keep others which would have been impossible to do with a Pujols contract on the books. They've had continued success, albeit no world series championship, worked out pretty good for them. I think its the way to go.

Why the hell leave Price in there?!They had a read on him the ump stopped giving him the corners...GO TO THE BULLPEN! Wow it shows how some managers can go all in when its clear there is a better option. I think its ego and emotion not to take Price out. Lame. Plus why didn't we bunt with no outs and move two runners over?...owell..

No he didn't? He said "there was no confusion" on his part. Goins could've made that play in his sleep, he just thought he heard Bautista say "I got it". It's the damn media trying to stir sh*t up.

Reported asked "was there any miscommunication between you two.", which Bautista replied, "no, you all saw the video".

Goins waved off Bautista not once, but twice during that play. There's no reason for Bautista to call for the ball, once Goins waved him off. The infielders always have "the right of way", on those plays.

It's a shame how Price folded like a house of cards though.. not a big deal if he stays composed.

It was a combination of that, Diaz no longer giving him the corners, (Can't remember if it was Hosmer or Moustakas, but DP threw a third strike that was a much better pitch than the one Diaz rang Bautista up on) and (most importantly, IMO) the Royals hitters feeling like they finally had a rally going against Price.

They all started taking the borderline pitches and they all were looking to go the other way and just "keep the line moving". At some point, you have to stop blaming one team and start giving the other team some credit.

That being said, I also didn't like some of Martin's pitch calling. DP had been tying Hosmer up in knots, by establishing the fastball and then dropping the hook on him. Martin, for some reason decides that the changeup is the way to go, doing the Royals a big favor. Then he calls it again when Moose is up... <_<

No they don't. The guy coming in always has the right of way over the guy going back.

In this situation, either Goins or Bautista could have made the play easily. For that reason, Joey Bats didn't bother calling Goins off, but if he had, Goins is supposed to bail. The fact that he did so, when hearing Bautista's "footsteps", shows that this is the case.

False. Outfielder has right of way on the play since he's the one coming in. I initially thought it was Bautista's ball and he should've called for it but he knows Goins can make the play so when Goins called him of 2-3 times he backed off.
