Robongo
http://whl.ca/schedule/show/game/33967 2 assists. UPDATE: Game ends 10-1. Hitmen come up huge. Overkill, even. Jake finished with the 2 assists on the night. On the season... 28GP 13g 20a 33pts +12 44PIM Was pretty much all Tambellini on both those secondary assists he got. Points are points nonetheless I guess
Derp...
He had a really strong finish to the year last year, and I'm hoping he will again this year. Only on pace for 60 in 50 with 25ish goals, but if he can get to 30 goals 40 Assists that would be really really good.

Kaner
Hope he can crack our team next season. No point in rushing our prospects, especially the one that has 1st line petential
groovy
Hope he can crack our team next season. Another year in junior won`t hurt. Let him develop his game and body. Hopefully under great coaching which has been frequently questioned.
Popular Post DeNiro
Virtanen in on every goal so far for the Hitmen with 10 minutes left to play. That's 1G and 3A.

Spotted Zebra
If the score stands at 5-0, Jake would have 12 Pts in his last 5 games
Seven pounds soft
I predict : Jake Virtanen will be lighting up the WHL when he gets back with Calgary. Like a caged animal let loose.

Gstank29
Has anyone considered the possiblity IF the hitmen are knocked out of the playoffs early. that he could go play in for Vancouver at the end of the year? Idk if it's benefical for his development but playing a couple of games at the end of the year (assuming we can clinch) would really be a bad idea 12 points in 5 games? Bust. MCdavid is at like 2.75 PPG. Why are they SO BAD. I was excepting at least 4 PPG god dammit Edited February 1, 2015 by Gstank29

Derp...
He should probs get AHL time first. If he did get called up to the Canucks after his season I would say other guys would be ahead of him on the depth chart.

SamJamIam
First off, Jake spent all summer rehabbing his shoulder. Second, on a ton of HItmen goals, you see Jake celebrating with his teammates. He's racking up pluses at an insane rate, even if he isn't getting an assist on all those plays. A big reason for this is because he seems to have been tasked with playing point on the PP and stays extremely high after his team enters the zone. His defensive play is getting surprisingly good surprisingly quickly as a result and it allows Tambellini et al to get deep in the offensive zone without fear of being caught the other way. Since the Hitmen have 30 GF and 1 GA in their last 4 games, clearly it's working. So how is Jake doing with this more defensive deployment? Check out the points/60 on the right side of this CHLstats screenshot: That's just ridiculous.

Would love to maybe see him get a chance if there's room. Might disrupt team chemistry though . Maybe not
messier's_elbow
Getting 1st line minutes and and playing with the top players at the WJC obviously is paying dividends. Plus hes finally is the same condition as the other guys in the league after missing training camp and 10 games.

I am sure the Canucks are aware, but that is pretty impressive.
