Canucks35
Lol. There's no way we possibly lose enough to draft top 5-8, which sucks. Yeah we going all in for the Cup, anyone can become the Oilers
-Vintage Canuck-
Not surprised. Called up as our seventh defenseman with Hamhuis out for a while.

Patchoball Cannons
Can someone explain to me why Pitkanen is still unsigned? What are his weaknesses? I still think the chemistry with the Sedins would make Salo the favourite if he's healthy and wants to play here. If Benning decides to go that route, and assuming Hamhuis is going to be out long term. He had what they called last year a "Career ending injury" when he went hard into the boards feet first on a icing race with Troy Brower last April. Sportsnet reported in June this year that 14 months after the injury Pitkannen is still unable to put his foot into his skate. In August Pitkannen told Finnish news that a comback was unlikely. Brick Tamland
You don't give up on a dman that is only 21yrs old. Agreed, but he was projected to be well beyond Tanev by now and it's not close. I would look into serviceable NHL ready dmen who are unsigned. Derek Morris? I would look into serviceable NHL ready dmen who are unsigned. Derek Morris? Who said that? For a 5th round pick, he's doing just fine in his development. StarGirl
I expected this, since Hamhuis is out. I'll anticipate to watch Corrado for now.
Monteeun
As of right now, our depth on D is only going to work for a short time period. The players aren't bad. I wouldn't mind signing one more D to just to give us a comfortable feeling though.
Rollieo Del Fuego
I'm all good for Salo coming back but we may be alright. Utica is first in the AHL by a good bit too and they are riding Anderson and Corrado as well as Sanguinetti and Tommerines Stanton is a good D., and with those guys ready to step in we may be alright for a month or two. coryberg
Um, no he isn't. He's a 5th round draft pick. Well he was drafted higher than tanev
The Lock
Just hire Marty Brodeur to be an extra defenseman in a goalie's outfit.
The Lock
Well he was drafted higher than tanev Exactly! It's expected that all draft picks make the NHL by the age of 20 otherwise they're busts! Tanev just barely slipped by the radar. Sneaky devil! zverta
Corrado hasn't looked very good since training camp. Hoping Hammer's injury isn't as severe as everyone's assuming. Corrado is not ready...
