But travel say 15 minutes south down a state to Delaware and a 20 year old who is sexually active with his 16 year old girlfriend can legally be charged as a sex offender. But then you can go to Mexico where age of consent ranges from 12-14. Much of Europe is 14 and 15. It is kind of odd, all cultures condemn pedophilia but have different rules on what it is.

What is Canada's age of consent?

The age of consent for sexual activity is 16 years. It was raised from 14 years on May 1, 2008 by the Tackling Violent Crime Act.
