Really enjoyed watching the game with so much youth, thought Etem's first game was a good start.

Loved Jake's goal. Would be interesting to know what happened at the bench haha. On to the next one!

DORS IS A BEAUTY!

Congrats Daniel... Absolutely vintage. VINTAGE BABY. NUCKS WIN! WOOOOOOH

There's no need for Dorsett to go over to their bench. The game was over. We won. Take the high road and go into the locker room.

Virtanen and Etem played very well. Etem drew 3 penalties.

Monster game, from top to bottom. We played like absolute crap but the Sedins do it again. Bring us into the game, a HUGE goal by Virtanen and then Daniel ends it with swagger.

The Panthers commentators are ripping into the Sedins and are sour as hell, but that is leadership at it's finest. No one knows what was said or what happened on the ice, but when the temperature rises, the pressure rises and the importance rises, Daniel and Henrik have been there this season. Another brilliant example of leadership against a team that has been brewing leadership all season long. We end another huge streak and credit to the 4 best players on the ice - the twins, Virtanen and Markstrom.

For most of the game Virtanen generated a few chances but looked lost and behind the play at times. I know I've ripped into him for being useless all season long - and he has been, and he was for a lot of the game tonight, but that was a MASSIVE clutch goal off a faceoff against a great defenceman and goaltender. Horvat and Baertschi were quietted for a lot of the game but they came through big there again.

Dorsett, Prust and McCann are a great line but I think we need a finisher with McCann and one of the enforcers, maybe even Cracknell instead of Prust. McCann's generating so much offence out of absolutely nothing with useless linemates to boot.

Vey and Etem had their moments and Etem definately has all the tools, similar to Virtanen. Draws the game-deciding penalty off a beautiful rush, he's almost a carbon copy of Virtanen right now.

And of course there's the Sedins. Nullified for almost the entire game, Virtanen breaks a stick, Vbrata jumps on and the trio score a clutch goal to get the ball rolling. I don't think Virtanen looked too good with the twins, he's much too fast for their style of play, but that was a beautiful first goal by Daniel Sedin. I haven't seen clutch play like this from a Canuck ever before, we're witnessing Toews-like leadership from Henrik and Daniel this season and it's fun to watch.

As for the defence - BRUTAL. We just went up against essentially a team of Horvat's - big, strong and skilled, and our defence crumbled. Mistake and turnover after turnover. Edler was terrible, but no one was good on the back end and even our forwards struggled to defend and move the puck up ice. We need crisper passes getting out and make decisions quicker because a fast, heavy forecheck has ruined us every time.

Markstrom made a LOT of clutch saves as well that obviously kept us in the game. That 3-on-1 late in the 3rd was the turning point and Markstrom stood on his head. Quality of chances he faced far exceeded the quantity.
