I don't know how to add the link but in the prospect update and story on Boeser and Demko there is a link to vote. Maybe someone could add it. Go Canucks Go., the future looks bright. Toni Zamboni Posted March 19, 2016 Share Posted March 19, 2016 A pair of Vancouver Canucks prospects in the NCAA have been honoured for their spectacular seasons. Brock Boeser, the Canucks’ first round, 23rd overall, selection in 2015, was named the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) Rookie of the Year, while also receiving the NCHC Three Stars Award. Boeser led the NCHC in scoring with 35 points (20-15-35), while his 20 goals were also tops in the conference, setting NCHC records in both categories. He is the first North Dakota freshman to lead a league in scoring. The 19-year-old currently sits seventh among all NCAA players with 48 points (25-23-48) in 36 games. His 25 overall goals sit fourth in the NCAA and first among all 1997-born skaters. Boeser and his North Dakota teammates square off against Minnesota Duluth on Friday afternoon in the NCHC semifinals. The winner will advance to the NCHC Championship game on Saturday against either Denver or St. Cloud State. Meanwhile, Thatcher Demko was named Hockey East Co-Player of the Year after a sparkling season with Boston College that saw him go 14-2-0 with a 1.87 GAA, .938 SV% and five shutouts in conference play. Overall, the Canucks’ second round, 36th overall, pick at the 2014 NHL Draft has gone 25-6-4 with an NCAA best 10 shutouts this season. His 1.78 GAA ranks third in the NCAA, while his .938 SV% is tied for top spot. The 20-year-old was also named to the Hockey East First All-Star team, while also being named one of the 10 finalists for the prestigious Hobey Baker Award. You can help his chances by voting for Demko! The three finalists will be announced on March 31st and the Hobey Baker Award winner will be announced Friday, April 8th in Tampa, FL during the NCAA Frozen Four. Demko and Boston College take on fellow Canucks prospect Adam Gaudette and Northeastern on Friday night in the Hockey East semifinals. The winner will play either Providence or UMass Lowell. Gaudette has enjoyed a successful freshman season with Northeastern. The Canucks’ fifth round, 149th overall, pick in 2015 has netted 27 points (10-17-27) in 38 games. Yea pretty much. It wouldn't be fair to have fans decide it. Then the players that go to the school with the biggest fan base, or have NHL fans voting for them, would win every time.
